Week of October 27th

7th grade Math
We are will be working on percent problems for the next few weeks. We will start by converting between fractions, decimals and percents. Then will move on to solving percent problems.  Students will be solving for the part, whole or percent. The equation used will be
whole x percent = part. Expect a quiz late next week over conversions.    
   

Accelerated Math

This week students will be solving equations with rational numbers. The main emphasis will be on the multiplication and division of numbers involving positive and negative number. Expect a quiz early next week.  
We will have the test over integers later next week or early the week after.  

 

Parent Teacher Conferences

Monday October 27th and Wednesday October 29th we will be having parent teacher conferences Monday from 3p.m. to 7 p.m. And Wednesday from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m. if you would like to schedule an appointment please calls the office.

Week of October 20th

7th grade Math
We are finishing how two objects are proportional. We have identifying proportional relationships by graphing.  We are solving problems using cross products. Students will have a quiz Wednesday October 22nd. We will start studying percents.    

Accelerated Math

This week students will be solving equations with rational numbers. The main emphasis will be on the multiplication and division of numbers involving positive and negative number. Integers and decimal values will be included in the exploration of numbers. There will be a Wednesday October 22nd over addition and subtraction of rational numbers.  

Report Cards were sent home On Friday October 17th please sign and returned A.S.A.P no later than Wednesday October 22nd.  

A note or email from is also acceptable saying your parent/guardian have seen the progress report. Please return to your 7th period teacher.

Food Drive for Ozarks Food Harvest

Cherokee Middle School will be hosting a Food Drive for Ozarks Food Harvest. Monday October 13th to Friday October 17th.Please Donate any non-perishable food items. Thanks you for your support of a worthy cause.

7th grade Math
We are working on showing how two objects are proportional. We are identifying proportional relationships by graphing.  We will solve problems using a proportion. Students will have a quiz on Thursday.   

Accelerated Math

Fractions are the main emphasis of study this week. We are finishing multiplication and division of fractions. Students need to take the quiz over multiplication and division of fractions by Tuesday, October 7th. The test over Fractions will be Thursday October 9th. We will start Integers as our next unit.
